a few months a go, the company randy works for took an unexpected turn. we were unsure if we would have work much longer. we had talked about the idea of a move to texas, where my family is from but we never made plans, because what in the world would we do for work there??
as we half heartedly tossed around ideas, we heard through the grapevine that Randy's brother, mark may need help with his construction business in South Carolina!
after some discussion with mark and some praying, we thought this might be the best time to make a big move and even career change.
we broke the news to our family and friends shortly after our decision was made, and begun making plans for our move.
we decided to sell all the big stuff {including my car} and just take whatever would fit in our small truck and tiny trailer.
so after many sad goodbyes last week, and some fun last minute parties and get-together with friends, oh, and A LOT of last minute haircuts, :) we left the beautiful state of california for a cross country adventure.
I will post many more pictures of our trip a long the way once we get our computer set up.

my brother's wedding
Last week Randy and I got to spend a week with my family. We flew to Dallas and drove to Tennessee with my parents for my younger brother, Jared's wedding. He is the first boy in our family to get married!
I met his wife for the first time last week, and she is a sweety! I even got to do her hair and makeup for the wedding!
It was a PERFECT weekend in Nashville! It was so beautiful and green and the weather was amazing!
This was the first time ever that so many of us siblings+girlfriends/fiances/spouses were all together, so we definitely made the most of it. We had fun at this adorable coffee shop with my youngest brother, Kenan and his new sweet girlfriend, Brittney.
More sibling time at Cracker Barrell. :)
It was extra fun getting to see my cousin, Jeremy too! Haven't seen him in a long time!
My beautiful sis and her hus.
more Kenan and Brittney
love this girl so much! wished we lived closer!
My little sister, Abigail, who's not so little anymore, and Ellisha and I.
Practicing bubbles before the couple came out.
My oldest brother, Justin, and his fiancee, Gabriella--love her so much!
US :) We had a wonderful time...and will be doing it all over again in August when Justin and Gabriella get married. So exciting!

operation new car
We are thankful that God has provided so amazingly for my parents through a very difficult time of unemployment. God has really provided in miraculous ways for them since they had to leave the church they pastored for 14 years. And so now, we are praying for that same miraculous provision as Dad and Mom (Woody and Della) do not have a reliable car and are in great need of a new one. Both cars are very old, with lots of miles, and break down frequently. With both parents working regular jobs, having reliable transportation is a necessity. Ellisha (my sister) and I have been brainstorming about ways we could help out our parents, and we came up with the following plan.
| mom, Ellisha (my sister), and I
Ellisha and I both have handmade shops online where Ellisha sells vinyl wall decals and I make stationery and party supplies. We are making the option available to all of you to pick any item out of our shop for a minimum $20 donation. Every penny you give us will go towards a new car for Woody and Della.
Of course, if you want to just donate, that would be greatly appreciated as well. But please, DO NOT feel obligated to donate at all.
You can see what we are offering here: www.etsy.com/shop/SoundSayings or here: www.etsy.com/shop/Ferrever, but please DO NOT order from our Etsy shops, as we want to keep the money separate. Simply let us know what you want, either in a comment on this blog or an email (randyandraechel@gmail.com or ellishaharcourt@gmail.com) and then pay through the donate button on this site.

| Mom, Dad, and Me on my wedding day |
Neither mom nor dad know of our efforts to help them get a new car, and we would like to keep this a surprise for them. Feel free to pass this on to anyone else who might be interested, but again, please don't discuss it with Woody or Della.
Thanks for you love and support of our parents during this trying time!

Christ is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!!
i think easter should be called "the most wonderful time of the year", no, not because of pretty flowers and easter egg hunts. although those are fun, but because Jesus has changed our lives because of His life! if you know Jesus as your personal Savior, this is a day of rejoicing, and actually every day is a day of rejoicing because Jesus has conquered sin, death, and our enemy, Satan. it's not just a fictional story, it is history. Jesus died a cruel death, took our sins upon himself and he rose three days later proving his power! if you believe this, you have hope for eternity. if you don't, today is just another day. you don't have hope for forever. you are as Paul says in the Bible "of all men most pitiable." trust Christ today to forgive your sin if you never have before. there's no better time!
randy and i are playing this song with our church music team today. take a moment and worship as you listen. Rejoice! Our God is alive!
